THE BURNT PARATHA

THE BURNT PARATHA

Written by Umme Muhammad
Samiya was cooking in the kitchen when the phone bell rang. She received the phone, it was her close friend Samina at the other end.

She sounded sad, so Samiya had asked, 'is everything OK', Samina said, 'no' her husband left the house angrily as she by mistake burnt his paratha while she was multi tasking.. In talking to her, Samiya forgot whether she has put salt in the chicken chilli or not and absent mindedly added salt again.

Samiya told Samina, not to worry and soon when he returns she should apologise and everything would be fine again. It keeps happening, we are all human and tend to err.

When Samiyas husband came she served him hot parathas, salad, fried rice and the chicken chilli, and she too sat to eat.

When Samiya put the first bite of chicken chilli to eat, it was terribly salty. She glanced a look at her husband Umar's face with fear. But he gave a smile. She tried to apologise but he said, keep calm.

Being a house wife is an unthankful job.. Doing the cleaning, cooking, and the small small chores which often count as the wife has been doing nothing.

Remember when you hurt your wife with those angry stares and break her heart into pieces by ignoring her and not talking to her. Is it more worth than the paratha that got burnt? Is there no value to the heart of a woman who left her parents home and spends her life in a home far away from her siblings.

Remember, it is stated in a Hadith of Abu Dawood Rasulullah Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam once while performing the tawaaf (circumambulating around the Kaaba) looked at the Kaaba and said, Allah has granted you great honour but the sanctity of a mu'min is far more than the sanctity of the Kaaba.

So many women keep crying and shedding tears beneath their pillows as if they committed a huge crime if they forgot something or did a mistake. So many times when the women say, 'sorry' they are rebuked by words that your sorry is not worth it. Tomorrow you will again do something and say sorry. Allah, our creator, and maker how much do we disobey him. But when we ask from forgiveness he always forgives us. He never rebukes us nor taunts us.

Are we greater than our Creator? There is a Hadith
In relation to this, the Prophet has said, “The person who does not accept the apology of the individual who has come to him asking forgiveness - whether the apology is truthful or untruthful - shall never have the benefit of my intercession since my intercession is specifically reserved for those who make mistakes and errors.

You (who will not accept the apology of another person) - see how you have acted with this person who has made a mistake and has then come to you with the hopes that you shall forgive him of his error where as you too would like to be forgiven for your mistakes and errors! Even if I make a mistake I expect to be forgiven, so that I too am interceded for from my mistakes.”

In any case, apologizing after making a mistake and accepting the apology is the key to happiness, the key to penetrating into the thoughts, minds and hearts of the people and is one of the things that leads to spiritual progress in life. By not forgiving, and taunting, it shows we are spiritually sick and we will be deprived of intercession on the day of Qiyaamah

So, brothers and sisters in islam, let's forgive and forget and not taunt or haunt someone's life and be a cause of breaking hearts or a cause of someone's tears.

ITS ALL MY FAULT I DIDNT TELL THEM
- Umme Muhammad
All rights reserved @Allah swts presence
Its all my fault,I didnt tell them
My Prophet was kind and compassionate
He was a Pillar of support and emancipator of women
He worked for the upliftment of the illiterate Arab men
Its all my fault,I didnt tell them
That My Prophet stopped the burying of females
He taught not to carry tales
He taught that gossip was wrong
He preached to keep the heart clean and strong
Its all my fault,I didnt tell them
That My Prophet said love one another
Forgive and invoke blessings to each other
Help and serve humanity for hatred give no room
Shelter and feed the homeless and poor, fear the doom
Its all my fault,I didnt tell them
My Prophet was patient and hardly got angry
My Prophet was known for His generosity
He was intelligent and Hardworking General
He didnt harm any man or insect
Its all my fault,I didnt tell them
That my Prophet fulfilled Allahs commands
His desire was to save the Humanity from the hell fire
Keep away from dunya and desire
For Allahs sake he did aspire
Spent His life of Prophet-hood preaching
Say There is only One God for which he got beating
Its all my fault,I didnt tell them
He never took revenge
He never rebuked nor told a bad word
He stood firm on His faith even when stoned
Never invoked Allahs wrath when drenched in blood
Its all my fault,I didnt tell them
He only said That they dont know i forgive them
O Allah u too forgive them
If they dont understand
Someone from their generations may follow Allah and His way
So on His path are we today
Its all my fault,I didnt tell them
Its all my fault,I didnt tell them
O Allah forgive me my mistake
O Allah now forever will i tell them till the last breath i take
That He is Rasulullah
That He is the Messenger of Allah

Laylatul qadr night of power

Ahmed was worried the season of good sales was over there was a lot of new production in the factory. So he stuck stickers around his garment shop 'sale' , 'sale' 50%off on fresh products. He was sure he wasn't lying because the stock was fresh but he decided to sell at a decreased amount to give place to the new stock of garments.

Sure enough there were good sales and within 15- 20 days more than half the stock was over. But now the left garments had become a bit crumpled due to the customers opening them again and again. Either it would need a washing and re ironing and re packing to sell them or just slash prices furthur. So he stuck on the board 'prices furthur reduced', 'throw away prices' and soon sales again increased and the stock was finally over to give place to the new garments.

Subhanallah! Exactly what Allah subhanahu wa Taa'la has done for us in Ramadan. We were told Ramadan is coming and in a part of a long Hadith it has been said Whoever draws nearer (to Allah) by performing any of the (optional) good deeds in (this month) shall receive the same reward as performing an obligatory deed at any other time, and whoever discharges an obligatory deed in (this month) shall receive the reward of performing seventy obligations at any other time.

So the sale got on as the new moon was sighted. We could never stand in salah for an hour without Ramadan but the power and blessing that Allah subhanahu wa Taa'la has placed in this month made us stand for more than hour just one and half hour after the new moon was sighted. And now when it seems Ramadan is drawing to a close prices are furthur reduced free yourself from hell and an attraction of laylatul qadr. We need to make the most of these last ten days. We need to gather ourselves and stand in prayer so that we acquire the blessings of these ten nights. Inspite of all the mercy and forgiveness we keep sinning in Ramadan and forget the showers of sale from Allah subhanahu wa Taa'la .

The power of laylatul qadr is stronger and lasting, Almighty Allah tells us in the Qur'an: “Laylatul Qadr is better than a thousand months.” [Quran 97:3] there is Forgiveness of all sins on this special night: Prophet (Sallallahu `Alayhi wa sallam) said: “Whosoever worshipped on Laylatul-Qadr, with faith and with a sincere intention, all of his previous sins are forgiven.” [al-Bukhârî and Muslim]. When we are being bestowed chance to gain taqwa, chance to gain proximity to Allah, chance for acceptance of duas. We need to seclude these ten nights atleast for Pleasure of Allah subhanahu wa Taa'la .Simply because they include a night which is better than a thousand months : it is “Laylatul Qadr”1000 months = 83 years and 4 months!
So the Muslim who spend the whole night of Qadr (or a part of it) in worshipping Allah (praying, reading Qur’an, remembering Allah, asking istighfar…), will deserve blessings and reward for the period as if he or she had been worshipping Allah for eighty three years and four months consecutively. Subhanallah!!

It means that if you spend that whole night (or part of it) in reading Qur’an (for example) it will be just like you were reading Qur’an since your birth until you became a 84 years old Muslim! Isn’t that one of the greatest reward? So for repentant sinners and those who didnt seek forgiveness in first ten days and then in next ten days too kept sinning this is a booster. Unlike Ahmed whose clothes were crumpled, Allah swts mercy envelopes us and Allah subhanahu wa Taa'la doesn't only want to forgive us but wants to free us from the prison of hell fire.

So we should try our best and do some deeds to maximise these last ten days
1) try to sit in itekaf for the last ten days or encourage our family members or help those who sit in itekaf
2) do not commit any sin
3) avoid gossip and meeting family, friends, neighbours
4) help anyone in need the reward is more than itekaf
5) give charity, besides zakat and sadqatul fitr
6) read quran , ponder over quran, feel the quran
7) do zikr, recite lots of durud, and plenty of astagfar
8) don't tire yourself in one day so much that you fall sick
9) no over eating or over sleeping
10) dont forget to make dua for yourself, your family, the deceased, your neighbours and also the entire ummah of Nabi Salallahu alaihi wa sallam
11) encourage all your family members to do all the good deeds.

Note of the day

Alhamdulillah finally there were rains and releif from the intense heat!
But i noticed that some people were well prepared and equipped for the rain, most were unprepared and were waiting for it to stop to get the preparations done and yet some will prepare only after heavy rains.

It gives us a lesson that some prepare for aakhira and are prepared for death.. Some prepare themselves when in trials , while some are swept by the storm or repent in clutches of death. So let's drench ourselves in tears of remorse and repentance and prepare ourselves and be equipped before death.

Mothers are a Blessing

Wounds that wont heal!

They miss them in every meal
And they miss them when wounds don't heal
They miss not only their smile
But also their nagging once a while
They remember every scolding and each word
Within which love bloomed and bred
They miss them when they toss in bed
And think of the broken thread

When the world seems to sleep
Who would see the moist eye which weeps
Their reminders to read duas
Their worries and concern ever
They remember them on every happy occasion
They long for them in hidden sobs in gloom and tension

To those who have a #mother
Think of those who yearn for theirs
Sit beside their feet and not higher than them
Speak soft and sweet and don't shout at them
Help them with a smile and be blessed (take their duas)
So that your place in jannah is sealed
