PArenting :ISlamic Kids

Two things every kid should be inculcated with:

1)Taqwa - Conscious that Allah swt is watching me
2)Love of Allah And Our Beloved Prophet salallhu Alaihi wasallam - So that The child's character, behaviour , and way of life is in Accordance With the guidelines of Quran and Sunnah

Hatred of Two things Should be instilled
1)Nafs - Desires and love of Dunya with this it leads us astray
2)Satan - He comes in all forms like for eg: bad company, bad thoughts, idleness laziness etc

Desire of two things should be taught
1)Quran- Desire to recite , to listen n learn it and ofcourse through it practice , implement and preach
2)Jannah - The ultimate goal of every believer should be Jannah but to acquire it the seeds of its love have to be sown. The way we lure children that if procure first rank in class you will be given a gift. Similarly Allah swt has given us guidelines to live this life and the more closer we walk on those guideline map the bigger jannah we will be given.

O Allah make our kids the coolness of our eyes and make them closer to you and the sunnah and help them attain the highest ranks in Jannah Written by Umme Muhammad

Can bOys and girls be friends

Can boys and girls be "just friends?" Some people ask this question but i ask them "is it possible to be just friends?" "only if there is some problem with hormones they can remain just friends "i tell them because they cannot answer my question

Husband and wife can be friends. Brothers and sisters can be friends BUT there is no concept of this inter-gender friendship that we see in society today. Allah is most knowing of what is best for us and He has forbidden this type of friendship so we must be careful of exposing ourselves to it.

No doubt it is from the footsteps of shaytaan due to what it leads to, Allah orders us "do not follow the footsteps of shaytaan" It breaks many marriages, destroys peace of homes, devastates the concept of marriage and makes zina free and easy remember zina is not only of the act of being with someone of opposite sex, but talking is zina of the ear and chatting is zina of the hands and heart and Prophet has been reported to have said the gust of which that close to the day of judgement zina will be rampant and when zina will be rampant it will be cheap and easy and marriages costly so people dont want to commit themselves to marriage but be free or search something extra with marriage and say we r just friends

may Allah guide us all and keep us on the road to siratul mustaqeem written by Umme muhammad.

AN INCIDENT

In a parent teacher meeting recently my son’s teacher narrated an incident she saw. A five year old boy of kindergarten class named Rafey happened to accidently knock off a boys bag from the bench. Immediately he apologized ‘sorry’ and went ahead to collect the books for him.

The boy whose bag fell became angry and punched him hard. Rafey was on the verge of tears and his face became red with shame but the words he blurted were ‘I forgive you because the one who controls anger is loved by Allah’.

Some parents tend to teach ‘if someone hits u don’t come crying to me, hit back and come’. The behavior of kids in the classroom is the mirror of what parents do at home.

Choose your Spouse and your Future

Remember the tarbiyah of a child begins with the spouse u choose
Will he be up with you r for tahajjud and ibadah Or will he take you for late night dinners
Will he pray fajr or sleep till late
Does he bring non mehrams at home or practices proper hijab as prescribed by the Shariah
Does he/she delve in lyrics of music or Cry listening to the Quran
Modestly dressed spouses will dress their children modestly and instill Haya in them written by Umme Muhammad

Turn Today!

Turn Today!

If children bunk school we spank them
But if he misses congregational Salah no problem

If children do not learn English we taunt them
But if they bunk to learn Quran no problem

We taught them A is for Apple
Didnt teach A is for Allah

We taught them B is for Ball
Didnt teach them B is for Bismillah

If children imitate singers/ Actors/Film stars we become happy
But if they imitate the Sunnah of our Prophet we call them old fashioned

So where are you going?
81:27
It is not except a reminder to the worlds
81:28
For whoever wills among you to take a right course.

So make them turn to Allah
and follow the sunnah of Rasulullah
Before we regret
Before the tarbiyah period ends and Before we have to keep hunting someone please make dua for my child so that they can see the correct path. Its we parents who deviate them first so let us pray

"O our Rabb! Grant us pleasure and satisfaction from our spouses and children (so that they never become a source of regret or distress for us in either world when they follow Islam properly), and make our progeny pious and make us pious enough to guide pious people)."Surah Furqan Ch25 V74

How should a Good Muslim Be?

How should a Good Muslim Be?
By Umme Muhammad

You can never be a good Muslim until you have Good Manners and Good character.

Islam is just not a religion which is practiced in the masjids . It has to be implemented 24 x 7 . The way you walk the way you talk the way to behave should be Islamic. If there are two men fighting on the road people check if its a Muslim then its nothing serious they always fight.

Beautiful Teachings of Prophet Muhammed(pbuh) to uplift our character and promises of paradise ...
▣ The Prophet (pbuh) said: I guarantee a house in the surroundings of Paradise for a ☛ man who avoids quarrelling even if he were in the right, a house in the middle of Paradise for a man ☛ who avoids lying even if he were joking, and a house in the upper part of Paradise for a man ☛who made his character good. (Dawud)

We give to those who give us but we also give to those who avoid us and stop the enmity Prophet saws in this way didn't like enmity in hearts either

▣ Prophet (pbuh) Said ☛ Shake hands and rancour will disappear. ☛ Give presents to each other and ☛ love each other and enmity will disappear. (Malik)

Anger is the root cause of all evils so shun anger as you shun forbidden food
▣ A man came to the Prophet, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him raise his name, and asked what he needed to do to get to Paradise, so the Prophet told him: ☛ “Do not get angry.” (Bukhari)

We all aim to be the best but the definition of the best according to the Prophet is .......

▣ “The best of people are those with the most ☛ excellent character.” (Tabarani)

▣ "Nothing will be placed in the balanced heavier than ☛ good behavior, and a person with ☛ good behavior will attain the rank of one who fasts in the days and prays in the nights”.(Tirmidhi)

We try our best to expose others weaknesses and hide our own but see the beautiful HAdith....

▣ “If a person covers the ☛weakness of another in this world, Allah will cover their weakness in the hereafter.” (Muslim)

▣ The best of you in Islam are those who are ☛most excellent in character as long as you deeply understand the religion.” (Ahmad)

Allah loves forgiving nature of a human being so much that he will forgive those who forgive What is better than getting forgiveness

▣ The Prophet (pbuh) said: The Compassionate One has ☛ mercy on those who are merciful. If you ☛ show mercy to those who are on the earth, He Who is in the heaven will show mercy to you. (Dawud)

Fulfilling promises if we make. Also InshaAllah we say sometimes when we do not actually intend to do something just to satisfy the person we say it so is also like a false promise. Punctuality when given a time to reach at the appropriate time is necessary.

▣ The Prophet (pbuh)said: When a man makes a promise to his brother with the ☛ intention of fulfilling it and does not do so, and does not come at the appointed time, ☛ he is guilty of no sin. (Dawud)

Being impartial with sons and daughters wherein many cultures prefer the son over the daughter and depriving the females of inheritance is wrong and forbidden

▣ The Prophet(pbuh) said: If anyone cares for three daughters, disciplines them, marries them, and ☛does good to them, ☛he will go to Paradise.(Dawud)

▣ Prophet(pbuh) said, ☛ 'Make your character good for the people. (Malik)

Below are more Hadith which specify the need of good character in our lives A muslim is not selfish He is selfless. He goes out of the way to help fellow muslims

▣ We were sitting with 'Abdullah bin 'Amr who was narrating to us (Hadith): He said, "Allah's Apostle was neither a Fahish nor a Mutafahhish, and he used to say, 'The best among you are the ☛ best in character (having good manners)."(Bukhari)

▣ The Prophet (pbuh) said: There is nothing heavier than ☛good character put in the scale of a believer on the Day of Resurrection. (Dawud)

▣ A person asked Allah's Apostle. "What (sort of) deeds in or (what qualities of) Islam are good?" He replied, ☛ "To feed (the poor) and ☛greet those whom you know and those whom you don't know." (Bukhari)

▣ The Prophet (pbuh) said: He who ☛does not accept an invitation which he receives has ☛disobeyed Allah and His Apostle of, and he who ☛enters without invitation enters as ☛ a thief and goes out as a raider. (Dawud)

And finally good behavior with parents. Most of the time many educated people and people with good Islamic knowledge are very well behaved when among their friends or colleagues but when it comes to parents they don't see eye to eye.

▣ The Prophet (pbuh) said: Do not detest ☛ your fathers; he who detested his father ☛committed infidelity. (Muslim)

▣ A man came to Allah's Apostle and said, "O Allah's Apostle! Who is more entitled to be treated with the best companionship by me?" The Prophet said, ☛"Your mother." The man said. "Who is next?" The Prophet said, ☛"Your mother." The man further said, "Who is next?" The Prophet said, ☛"Your mother." The man asked for the fourth time, "Who is next?" The Prophet said, ☛"Your father. " (Bukhari)

O Allah forgive our sins and all those whom we hurt and O Allah bestow us with good character Aameen

WHY DO WE FAST MAMMA??

WHY DO WE FAST MAMMA??

My son Muhammad aged 6 asked me “Mamma, why do we fast in Ramadan”? “Surely Allah does not like to see us hungry or thirsty replied my 13 year old daughter. “Let me explain you with the help of the story of Hanzala” I replied.

Hanzala was 10 year old when he decided he wanted to join the navy. Immediately he had to change from the main stream school to a military boarding school, then he was taught swimming, daily rigorous exercises and diet schedule of eating good healthy food, mountain climbing, digging pits, also remaining hungry for hours together and he underwent many other ways of training.

Although he wasn’t given the badge to wear which he had yearned for years to wear ‘Commandor’ he kept training himself until his goal was achieved. So similarly Allah swt wants us to become His slave for whom he trains us everyday through 5 daily salah and once a year for 30 days through fasting. He shields and protects in this month by locking the satan and making our nafs weak by keeping us hungry so that we do more of Ibadah and keep going closer to Allah.

Hanzala had to abstain from halal food to train him and had to go through rigorous exercises which looked like punishment to achieve his goal so we too abstain from sins like geebah hatred anger gossip to attain the pleasure of Allah. Hanzala finally achieved his goal after working hard for 12 years; he got the prestigious badge shining which he was very proud to show everyone.

But Allah swt gives us a chance to become closer to Him in 30 days and then He remains close for a life time if we achieve it through repentance and constant good deeds. Allah is so merciful he forgives His slaves even when their heart turns to Him in repentance. Our faces become radiant with our Salah and recitation of the Quran and most importantly the Master of the Universe is happy with us. So u see Hanzala achieved a temporary success whilst if we strive hard we could be successful in both the worlds

We also become aware that Allah is As Baseer the All Seeing Al Khabeer the All Knowing. When we perform wudhu we could gulp down a couple of sips of water but we do not do that because we are reminded that no one can see those drops going down my throat but the Al Baseer and Al Khabeer will surely know it. Similarly when no one is at home or we are alone on our way from school we are conscious that Allah is watching me and we do not eat anything and bear the pangs of thirst and hunger to please Him

SO this month trains us to abstain from the halal things by keeping in mind that Allah is watching us so that after Ramadan it is easier to keep away from sins. This is a training period. He has blessed us with suhur and iftar so we do not have to go hungry entirely like other religions.

So let’s get trained and ask for Allah for His mercy, forgiveness, guidance and Taqwa in this Ramadan. I hope you find this useful for your kids too.

Aakhirah or Dunya

We were returning from the sports of our kids with my brother, his children and their friends were seated in an over crowded car. As soon as my brother took a right turn one kid started telling “Uncle that is a dead end” My brother asked, “and how do you know?”

Pat came the reply from the bubbly youngster, “in GTA st andreas game also its same” I was wondering if GTA st andreas game had streets of Mumbai when lo! His words were true enough my brother had to reverse the car. My brother informed it’s an adult car racing game.

A few days ago my friend told me that she took some ladoos to her nephews and nieces. The youngest of them who was 2 year old seeing the ladoos said, “WOW!!Aunty has bought BHim’s ladus” Subhnallah I thought Bhim must be one of the characters of Hindu mythology, she continued “I asked who is Bhim?” so immediately she mentioned the name of some cartoon which she must have watched on television.

AllahuAkbar KAbeera!! How children link their everyday lives with their games and things they watch in television channels. How easily moms give them to handle these things. It plays havoc in their minds.

Young children are just like clay or molten iron it depends how we mould them.
We must make the children busy in activities after they return from school so that they do not get time to spend with these Electronic robots.

They must be made to do swimming, cycling, or play sports like cricket tennis etc rather than watching the idiot box. Surprisingly a newspaper had conducted a no –Tv day in which many filmstars and famous cricketers, models and actors had stated we keep ourselves and our kids away from unrealistic things

Physical exercises make them tired so that they don’t have the pent up energy bursting in them which could either make them couch potatoes or result in diseases of obesity.

Most games have music which is haram. I saw my nephew playing the road rash game but his legs were moving so fast and the actions on the keyboard were so violent it seemed if he really met the driver he would beat him to death.

Our children are deprived of reading good Islamic or productive stuff. Most story books have loads of magic in them. A friend told me that once as were stuck on the highway and were very tense as we were quite from the city to get a tow truck when his youngster blurted Batman will release us, he has to be near by.

“Dajjal will say to his followers, "If I kill this person and then revive him, you people will still doubt me?" They will reply, "No." He will then kill this person, (according to another narration he will split this person in two) and thereafter revive him. This person will say, "I am totally convinced more than ever before that you definitely are Dajjal." Dajjal will attempt to kill this person again but his efforts will now be in vain. (According to a hadith, after this incident, Dajjal will not be able to harm anyone.)” Sahih Muslim

Means magic will be a tool of dajjal so these stories are making them so common that the future generation will think this as part of life.

A teacher of an Islamic school reported that a child with good Islamic upbringing can be easily distinguished. Once when the kids were supposed bead the thread and the one with the most beads come to me and soon a 3 year old nursery kid triumphantly ran to her teacher AllahuAkbar! AllahuAkbar! I completed it. The teacher asked why are u saying AllahuAkbar too? So the child replied I couldn’t have done without the help of Allah!

SO we should instill the greatness of Allah in the children rather than attaching them to the material world. Before I end I would like to site an example: A few days ago I had called some kids for Islamic summer camp between 8-13 years of age where I asked them “from where do we get milk” Some of the kids rightly answered Allah, while others said milkman and yet others said from the dairy. All were correct but they didn’t get my question so I asked them “Haven’t u learnt in science from where do we get milk” Yes, then it struck them and they said from cows, buffaloes, and goat

Then I further asked them “When a goat, cow or buffalo is slaughtered what we find in it ?” and they all replied meat and blood Then I quoted from the Quran. From the contents of their bellies, from between the dung and blood, We give you pure milk to drink, easy for drinkers to swallow. (Qur'an, 16:66) ..

All the children were surprised to know and I further explained them that You do know which particular animals milk u drink but Allah had already known and He sent that milk from the stables to the dairy and then from the milk man to your home.

Every day when we eat the different creations of Allah we can have a lot to discuss with the kids about the fragrance, the tastes, the colors and varieties lest we spend time with our kids.

May Allah bestow us with the wisdom to instill His Greatness in the kids and make them attatched to Him and away from fitna of dunya Aameen

Dear Parents

Dear Parents in Islam,

It is easy to take children to malls and gardens, Then why difficult to take them to nearby Masjid.?

If is to wake them when we have to travel or for school Then why difficult to wake them up for Tahajjud and Fajr.?
...
If it is necessary to buy books for their education and increase their general knowledge then why is it difficult to buy books that will enhance their Islamic knowledge

If for good academic result it is necessary to join tutions and classes then why difficult to send the child to madrasa to improve his after life

... If you can spare time for dunya and fulfilling its desires then why difficult to spend some time with kids in building their hereafter

Truly smart is the person who prepares for the life where he has to spend his time most rather than wasting his time in trivial things as that day regret wont do any benefit

O Allah bestow us with the wisdom to prepare for the life of hereafter and bestow us and our families the good of this life and the good of the hereafter Aameen

If I were to raise my child again!!

If I were to raise my child again!!

Umme Muhammad
All rights reserved @Allah swt's presence

If I were to raise my child again!!
I would name them with a meaningful Islamic name

I would keep reciting duas and practicing sunnah from when they are in the cradle
So that it becomes a habit and living without them would be impossible.

I would impart Islamic education and stories of Prophets and Sahabas i would relate
Rather than those embarrassing and demoralizing fairy tales

I would make them see the wonderful creations of Allah
I would make them seek the pleasure of Allah

I would make them greedy of attaining Jannah
I would not let in them instill the filth and love of dunya

I would let them know their cunning enemies nafs and shaitan
I would let them know their loving, compassionate and everlasting companion is Allah
I would make them follow the one who will cry for us on the day of Judgement our beloved Rasulullah

I would make them punctual in prayers and tell them do not delay
I would tell them beware ,prepare before the angel of death may pick you away

I would help them in their endeavors to spread deen
I would pray for them to keep them steadfast on deen

The Obstacle race

The Obstacle race
-Umme Muhammad

Watching from the stands the proceedings of the sports day

The Obstacle race reminded me of our lives everyday

The kids ran under chairs

wore gunny sacks and hopped

Jumped over stones and rings

Wore caps and took balls under their arms

with one arm and one leg tied to the other

Skipping running hopping jumping

yet happy with just one goal

to cross the line and procure the gold

They dont look at those obstacles

they look not at their parents or the audience

Eyes focused and determined for the ultimate challenge

The one whose goal is to please Allah

The one whose goal is to meet Allah

The one who seeks Jannah

The one who fears the anger and wrath of Allah

Should they be doing something that would displease their Creator

they would persevere and toil day and night for His pleasure

And yet be humble and focused on the ultimate treasure

when Trials and Tribulations winds and storms come in their way

True momins feet never sway

Our eyes set far from our goals

Absorbed in the depth of duniya and its glamors

The race has begun between the seeker of duniya and the one who seek their Lord

They r no doubt two different tracks

but meeting our Lord is inevitable either with His pleasure or Wrath

O Allah Give us better understanding to prepare

so that in aakhirah we do not despair

The All-Mighty Allah `The Exalted,' says describing this world:
“...Truly, the life of this world is nothing but a [quick
passing] enjoyment, and verily, the Hereafter that is the
home that will remain forever.)” (Qur'an 40:39)

He has also warned mankind of the trial that children and
possessions represent, saying: (And know that your
possessions and your children are but a trial and that
surely with Allah is a mighty reward.) (Qur'an 8:28)

PIOUS PARENT EXPECTATIONS FROM THEIR TEENAGERS

When the seeds of Islamic Parenting are sown in a child

The child when turns into a teenager does not wild

He does not become aggressive

Of his Salah he is Possessive

Polite and humble with everyone

His parents he does not shun

Guards his prayers and reads Quran

The fertility helps to fight the evil of nafs and shaitan

Ready to face the world with daily sadqa

Guards his modesty and gaze with Taqwa

Branches out leaves of Deen Al Islam in his friends

Removes the weeds of music, games and other fitnas from his friends

Neither pride nor arrogance

Nor the venom of vengeance and extravagance

Wants to look good and obedient for his Lord he wants to please

No matter whether his friends tease

Raises his hands to pray to the Lord

To end oppression and tyranny in the world

So that Islam blooms the whole world far and wide

In every storm .sea ,Ocean and Tide

O Allah nurture Islamic Youth with your blessings world wide
