PArenting :ISlamic Kids

Two things every kid should be inculcated with:

1)Taqwa - Conscious that Allah swt is watching me
2)Love of Allah And Our Beloved Prophet salallhu Alaihi wasallam - So that The child's character, behaviour , and way of life is in Accordance With the guidelines of Quran and Sunnah

Hatred of Two things Should be instilled
1)Nafs - Desires and love of Dunya with this it leads us astray
2)Satan - He comes in all forms like for eg: bad company, bad thoughts, idleness laziness etc

Desire of two things should be taught
1)Quran- Desire to recite , to listen n learn it and ofcourse through it practice , implement and preach
2)Jannah - The ultimate goal of every believer should be Jannah but to acquire it the seeds of its love have to be sown. The way we lure children that if procure first rank in class you will be given a gift. Similarly Allah swt has given us guidelines to live this life and the more closer we walk on those guideline map the bigger jannah we will be given.

O Allah make our kids the coolness of our eyes and make them closer to you and the sunnah and help them attain the highest ranks in Jannah Written by Umme Muhammad

Make every day be Like Rabi Ul Awwal : #Productive.

Allhamdulillah month of rabi ul awwal has started, month of rabi ul awwal is a month of happiness & sadness, prophet PBUH was born in this month & past away in this month, We should try to inculcate in us those values in reverence of Prophet Muhammad salallahu Alaihi wa Sallam which we haven’t practiced yet and continue it life long. Because to get proximity to Allah swt we need the Sunnah way to succeed as the Quran Says: "Say (O Muhammad to mankind): 'If you (really) love Allah, then follow me (i.e. accept Islamic Monotheism, follow the Qur'an and the sunnah), Allah will love you and forgive you your sins'."[Al-Qur'an 3:31]
So let us revise the parts of our lives need change and get closer to Sunnah.

1) Sunnah are usually of four types
A: Sunnah of eating, sleeping, walking, going to toilet, waking up, wearing clothes, removing clothes, sleeping, talking, etc means sunnah of daily habits of Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi wasallam

B)Sunnah of Beloved Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi wasallam’s Character
His forgiveness to those who tortured and maligned Him, His generosity, His forbearance, His patience, His way of love and kindness, His way of getting angry, His smile, His ears never listened to gossip , music or geebah, His ear loved the Quran, His tongue spoke the truth, He supported the truth, His justice and endless list of good character of Prophet Salallahu Alaihi wa Sallam which we need to bring in our lives

C) His Ibadah : The way He recited duas when He woke up, went to toilet, wore clothes, when it was cold, when it was cloudy, when there was wind, when it rained, And the way He made duas and prayed for the Ummah and the way He Salallahu Alaihi wa sallam stood in prayers in front of His Lord to Please Him, to praise Him to thank Him , Sometimes He stood onethird of the night, sometimes half of the night subhanallah! We have only read Duas half heartedly and are away from these Sunnah too and far away from standing in prayers till feet swell but we sleep till our eyes swell

D) Sunnah OF Dawah : How did He begin dawah which was initially a lone mission and slowly and steadily amidst all confrontation and opposition with prayers and sujud, tears and the zest to see every Ummati in jannah collected the pagan Arab and transformed them in to illuminated nursery of heroes. His dawah individually, His Dawah to Kings, His Dawah to friends, His dawah to family members, His dawah to villagers, Bedouins, His Dawah to leaders of Makkah, His dawah amongst general people, Dawah to taif, Dawah to MAdina, all have aspects for us to follow and how much urge do we have that every one from the Ummah of Nabi salalallahu Alaihi Wasallam goes to Jannah, how many nights did we cry for the Ummah, How many people have we given dawah so far. And the Quran confirms the grief of our Beloved Prophet “There has without any doubt come to you a Messenger from among yourselves. Grievously serious to him is what you suffer; he is concerned over you, and to the believers he is kind and merciful.’[Qur’an 9:128]

2) Verily, God and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet: O you who believe! Send blessings upon him and salute him with all due respect to him.”[Qur’an 33:56] So we should send on Him Blessings everyday and not seclude just one day for it in a vigorously authenticated HadÄ«th, the Prophet also informs us of its significant benefit:
Ubayy bin Ka’ab said “I once told the Messenger of God, (upon whom be peace and blessings of God The Exalted) ‘O Messenger of God, I invoke much. What portion should I offer salutations upon you?’
The Prophet replied, “However much you wish.”
To this I asked, “A fourth?”
He said, “If you wish, but should you increase the number, it will be better for you.”
I then asked, “A third?”
He said, “If you wish, but should you increase the number, it is still better for you.”
I then asked, “A half?”
He said, “If you wish, but should you increase the number, it is still better for you.”
I then said, “Indeed in my invocation, I shall make all of my prayers upon you!”
To this, the Messenger of God replied, “If you do that you will be freed from anxiety and all your wrongs pardoned.” [Hadith, recorded by Tirmidhi]

We also supposed to send salutation whilst making dua for duas to be accepted as according to a Hadith “Without a doubt supplications are stalled between the heavens and the earth, and are not lifted up until the supplicant invokes blessings upon the Prophet (upon whom be peace and blessings of Allah The Exalted).” [HadÄ«th, recorded by Tirmidhi]

There is not a single Believer who does not hope for his supplication to be answered by the Answerer of supplications. Invoking blessings upon the Prophet when asking our Lord, hastens a response from our Merciful Lord. The Prophet’s intercession with our Lord is a Mercy from our Lord.
“The closest people to me on the Day of Resurrection will be those who invoked the most blessings upon me.” [HadÄ«th, recorded by Tirmidhi]
This proves that there are lot of virtues to send Salutations and so His Beloved name is repeated In the adhan the Iqamah five times a day and every day when we sit and read the tashahud the durud is repeated by every Ummati who offers salah.

3) We should fast on every Monday And Thursday as there is A Hadith Aishah narrated:
“The Prophet used to try to fast on Mondays and Thursdays.” (Sahih)
SUNAN TIRMIDHI (Book 4, Hadith 64)
It was narrated from Jubair bin Nufair that a man asked Aishah about fasting and she said:”The Messenger of Allah used to fast all of Shaban, and he made sure to fast on Mondays and Thursdays.” ‘ (Sahih)
SUNAN NASEEI (Vol. 3, Book 2, Hadith 2188) also SUNAN NASEEI (Vol. 3, Book 2, Hadith 2189)
It was narrated from Hunaidah bin Khalid, from his wife, that one of the wives of the Prophet said:”The Prophet used to fast the ten (days), and three days of each month: Monday and Thursday.” (Sahih) SUNAN NASEEI (Vol. 3, Book 2, Hadith 2420)
It was narrated that Hafsah said: “When the Messenger of Allah would lie down, he would place his right hand under his right cheek, and he used to fast on Mondays and Thursday.” (Sahih) SUNAN NASEEI (Vol. 3, Book 2, Hadith 2369)”

) WHY PROPHET MUHAMMED (P.B.U.H) USED TO KEEP FAST ON MONDAY,THURSDAY ?. :-
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: “The deed are presented on Monday and Thursday, so I love that me deed be presented while I am fasting.” (Hasan)SUNAN TIRMIDHI (Book 4, Hadith 66)
Usamah bin Zaid said:“I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, sometimes you fast, and you hardly ever break your hardly ever fast, except two days which, if you are fasting, you include them in your fast, and if you are not fasting, then you fast them on your own.’ He said: ‘Which two days?’ I said: ‘Monday and Thursday.’ He said: ‘Those are two days in which deeds are shown to the Lord of the worlds, and I like my deeds to be shown (to Him) when I am fasting.“‘(Hasan)SUNAN NASEEI (Vol. 3, Book 2, Hadith 2360)
Abu Qatada Ansari (Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah’s Massenger (may peace be upon him) was asked about fasting on Monday, whereupon he said:It is (the day) when I was born and revelation was sent down to me.SAHIH MUSLIM (Book 6, Hadith 2606)
ABU DAWOOD (Book 13, Hadith 2420)

The doubt that he fasted on His birthday can be refuted from three different angles:

• The Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam never regularly fasted on the twelfth of Rabee' Al-Awwal, which is the date that some claim is his birthday, rather, he fasted every Monday, and there are four Mondays in every month. The Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam did not only fast on Mondays, but in addition, he would also fast on Thursdays, as he said: "The records of deeds are raised (to Allaah) every Monday and Thursday, therefore, I like to be fasting at this time.” (Tirmidhi).
Moreover, the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam did not say that the reason for fasting on a Monday were due to his birth only, but also because of the fact that the records of everybody's deeds are raised to Allaah on these days. Therefore, celebrating Al-Mawlid with the excuse that the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam used to fast on a Monday is a misunderstanding and a gross exaggeration of the facts.

• The Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam did not add any form of celebration to his fasting, with any sort of food as those who celebrate Al-Mawlid do. If people intend to express their gratitude to Allaah by observing Al-Mawlid and they justify it with the excuse that he used to fast on Mondays, then common sense dictates that they must completely imitate the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam in the way that he expressed gratitude to Allaah. Many people who celebrate Al-Mawlid do not fast regularly on Mondays and Thursdays as they deem it to be exhausting. On the contrary, they actually prepare and eat more food than usual as part of their celebration.

To sum up let me remind that the respect the Sahaba Had for Prophet Salallahu Alaihi was Sallam they were the people who venerated the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, the most the sahabah, may Allah be pleased with them, as 'Urwah ibn Mas'ud said to Quraysh, "O people, by Allah I have visited kings. I went to Caesar, Chosroes and the Negus, but by Allah I never saw a king whose companions venerated him as much as the companions of Muhammad venerated Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. By Allah, whenever he spat it never fell on the ground, it fell into into the hand of one his companions, then they wiped their faces and skins with it. If he instructed them to do something, they would hasten to do as he commanded. When he did wudu', they would almost fight over his water. When he spoke they would lower their voices in his presence; and they did not stare at him out of respect for him." [Al-Bukhari, 3/178, no. 2731, 2732; al-Fath, 5/388]. Yet despite this level of veneration, they never took the day of his birth as an 'Eid (festival). If that had been prescribed in Islam they would not have neglected to do that.

It is best that we keep to the middle path. Let the words of Imam Hasan Al-Basari serve as a guiding principle for us: "Religion of Allah stands midway between extreme rigidity and extreme veneration." It is rigidity to be obsessed with the letter of the law to such an extent that one neglects the spirit. It is equally wrong to venerate the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) excessively as the Christians did with Jesus (peace be on him) thus deifying him. We must shun both extremes.

I love Prophet Muhammad the Khatmun nabiyeen /(seal) the Beloved of Allah and pray that we live on His Sunnah, and we are bestowed with seeing His Blessed face on the judgement day and given the Drink of Kausar from His Blessed hands Aameen

Real LOve

Real LOve

Is not holding hands in public to show u r in love
But true love would be to sprinkle water with hands to wake for tahajjud prayers
True love would be to encourage each other towards piety and righteousness
real love is not holding hands and going to a movie
But real love is saving the spouse from falling in sin
True love is in understanding and tolerance for the sake of Allah
True love is not showing your wife to your friends and other non mehrams
True love is in Haya and modesty that both help each other to lower the gaze
True love is not in showing others you are happy through pics and status updates
But true love is to be truly happy and one can be truly happy when one obeys Allah and Allah is happy with them

AN INCIDENT

In a parent teacher meeting recently my son’s teacher narrated an incident she saw. A five year old boy of kindergarten class named Rafey happened to accidently knock off a boys bag from the bench. Immediately he apologized ‘sorry’ and went ahead to collect the books for him.

The boy whose bag fell became angry and punched him hard. Rafey was on the verge of tears and his face became red with shame but the words he blurted were ‘I forgive you because the one who controls anger is loved by Allah’.

Some parents tend to teach ‘if someone hits u don’t come crying to me, hit back and come’. The behavior of kids in the classroom is the mirror of what parents do at home.

Day Of Arafah

The Day of Arafat

On the 9th Dhul Hijjah all the pilgrims assemble on the plains of Arafat which is the main fardh of Hajj and it is called the wuqoof e Arafah. This is a great moment for the pilgrims when the Mercy of Allah descends upon them in abundance and their sins are forgiven and du’aa accepted. Allah, through His Compassion and Mercy, has not deprived the non-pilgrims of his mercy, but rather, shown the way to His Pleasure.

The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam was asked about the fast of the day of Arafah. He said, “It compensates for the (minor) sins of the past and the coming year.”
Ibne Maajah

The Prophet of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "On this day (of Arafa) whomsoever holds his hearing, sight, and tongue (from committing sins), he will be forgiven by Allah." [Ahmad]

Muslims should say the Tahlil (La ilaha il Allah), Tasbeeh (Subhanallah) and Takbeer (Allahu Akbar). It is also recommended to do as much dua (supplication) as possible on this day, since "there is no other day on which Allah frees a larger number of His slaves from the Fire of Hell than the Day of Arafah." [Sahih Muslim]

As for the pilgrim, it is not Sunnah for him to fast on the day of ‘Arafah, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not fast on the day of ‘Arafah during the Farewell Pilgrimage. In Saheeh al-Bukhaari it is narrated from Maymoonah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the people were not sure whether the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was fasting on the day of ‘Arafah, so she sent him some milk when he was standing in ‘Arafah, and he drank it whilst the people were looking on. Because the companions were in doubt whether the Prophet was fasting as He made dua for 6 hours weeping for the Ummah. So we can understand how important it is to seclude ourselves for duas on this day.

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "The best supplication is on the day of Arafah, and the best remembrance that I and the prophets before me (made) is: "There is no god but Allah, the only true God, who has no partner. To Him belongs the kingdom (of the universe) and to Him all praises are due. And He has the power to do every thing." [Tirmidhi]

O Allah forgive each one who reads this dua and the whole Ummah O Allah guide the ummah O Allah accept the Hajj of all those assembled at your House Aameen

10 ways For a Productive Zul HIjjah

A women has to sacrifice many times in her life
First she becomes a daughter and sacrifices for her parents and siblings
Then as a wife and daughter in law she crushes her desires
Last but not the least she sacrifices as a mother all her health, wealth and sleep and passion to her kids happiness
But the only place she forgets to sacrifice is for her Lord her Creator who bestowed her life in the best form and then made her a Blessing for her parents and then placed paradise beneath her feet and made her a Queen of her home.
This Zul hijjah lets decide to live on the way of the family of Prophet Ibrahim
Ù‚ُÙ„ۡ Ø¥ِÙ†َّ صَÙ„َاتِÙ‰ ÙˆَÙ†ُسُÙƒِÙ‰ ÙˆَÙ…َØۡÙŠَاىَ ÙˆَÙ…َÙ…َاتِÙ‰ Ù„ِÙ„َّÙ‡ِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَÙ€ٰÙ„َÙ…ِينَ

"Say:
My prayers, my sacrifice, my life and my death are all for Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.
 (Qur'an 6:162)
Don’t we say I am living just for my kids so that they grow up Or I am living just because Allah has kept my breaths moving yet Lets change our thinking

Here are 10 ways in which we can make this Zul HIjjah Productive
1) Let each day and each sacrifice we do be for the sake of the Lord of the Worlds
2) Lets us sacrifice our gossip, pleasures of geebah, wasting time and instead utilize the time in worship of Allah.
3) Let us sacrifice our sleep and invest it in tahajjud salah
4) Let us sacrifice our modern clothes For clothes which our loved by  Allah (long, loose, non transparent, not of opposite sex, not resembling any non-muslim)
5) The way we are punctual about our kids school timing water bottle n snacks and as they grow older their studied be particular that they too follow the sunnah in all aspects of their life whether it be clothes, walking, getting up in the morning or sleeping.
6)Let us sacrifice our lives ONLY for the sake of ALLAH alone to make our lives worthy and remember the words of Prophet Ibrahim each time  My prayers, my sacrifice, my life and my death are all for Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.
7) For each day of Zul hijjah decide to bring in 10 good deeds and decide to leave 10 bad deeds just as we make a list of whom we will share our meat with make this list and be firm with it.
8) Decide that my salah should increase in Khushu and rate it out of 10 each day. Learn the important parts of salah well. Sacrifice the precious time at least 10 minutes each day to improve the Quran read in the salah.
9) Concentrate on practicing various verses of the Quran. Make targets and try to achieve them.
10) Invite others too to live and die for Allah alone enjoin good and forbid wrong. Sacrifice your favourite chats to imbibe these qualities in the ummah and pray for them

So this Zul hajjah practice this and make it the mission of your life to live n die only for the sake of Allah alone

10 days Of Zul Hijjah

What should those not going for hajj do ?
Is Zul Hijjah only for those Sacrificing Animals or going for hajj
Does come annually to relish in Kababs and Biryanis

Lets see what are the virtues of these 10 days and what can we do make our first 10 days of Zul Hijjah beneficial in this life and hereafter.

IMPORTANCE OF THESE 10 DAYS IN QURAN AND HADITH
1)It is these ten days that Allaah has taken an oath by in His Book, by His saying,
"By the Dawn and by the Ten Nights." [Sooratul-Fajr 89:1-2]

2) Abdullah Ibne 'Abbãs radiyallahu anhu related that the Propht sallalahu alayhi wasallam said, "Good deeds performed on other days are not superior to those performed on these (first ten days of Zul Hijjah)." The Companions radiyallahu anhum inquired, "Not even Jihãd?" He replied, "Not even jihãd, except for that person who goes out putting himself and his wealth in danger and does not return with anything." (Bukhãri) (Aboo Dãwood, Tirmizi, Ibne
Mãjah)

3) Aboo Hurayrah radiyallahu anhu related that Rasoolullah sallalahu alayhi wasallam said, "On no days is the worship of Allah desired more than in the (first) ten days of Zul Hijjah. The fast of each of these days is equal to the fast of a whole year, and the worship of each of these nights is equal to the worship of Laylatul Qadr." (Tirmizi, Ibne Mãjah)

4) The mother of the believers, Hafsah radiyallahu anhaa reports that Rasoolullahsallalahu alayhi wasallam used to fast the (first) nine days of Zul Hijjah. (Nasã'ee, Ahmad, Aboo Dãwood)

5) Abdullah Ibne 'Umar radiyallahu anhu related that Rasoolullah sallalahu alayhi wasallamsaid, "No days are as weighty with Allah and so liked by Him for good deeds than the first ten days of Zul Hijjah. So on these days increasingly read Subhãnallah, Lã ilãha illallãh, Alhamdulillah and Allahu Akbar." (Musnad Ahmad)

As from the above verses and Hadith we can understand that these days need to be spent in absolute Ibadah and piety so InshaAllah try to 1) fast 2) pray Tahajjud 3)Repent a lot and make a lot of duas 4)remain awake at night in reading Quran ,making duas ,nafl salah ,zikr and ibadah 5 )Increase good deeds even during the day through charity etc

Virtues Of Day of Arafah and what should we do on that day will soon be posted inshaAllah

Turn Today!

Turn Today!

If children bunk school we spank them
But if he misses congregational Salah no problem

If children do not learn English we taunt them
But if they bunk to learn Quran no problem

We taught them A is for Apple
Didnt teach A is for Allah

We taught them B is for Ball
Didnt teach them B is for Bismillah

If children imitate singers/ Actors/Film stars we become happy
But if they imitate the Sunnah of our Prophet we call them old fashioned

So where are you going?
81:27
It is not except a reminder to the worlds
81:28
For whoever wills among you to take a right course.

So make them turn to Allah
and follow the sunnah of Rasulullah
Before we regret
Before the tarbiyah period ends and Before we have to keep hunting someone please make dua for my child so that they can see the correct path. Its we parents who deviate them first so let us pray

"O our Rabb! Grant us pleasure and satisfaction from our spouses and children (so that they never become a source of regret or distress for us in either world when they follow Islam properly), and make our progeny pious and make us pious enough to guide pious people)."Surah Furqan Ch25 V74

SHAWWAL FASTS

FAsten Yourselves

This blog is pending an Admins approval.
DEAR SISTERS

Have you brushed yourself with Quran enough and gained Taqwa if yes then don't loosen the nafs Make it struggle, make it strive harder, torture and weaken it. Don't let it take hold of you so start fasting six days in the month of Shawwal is mentioned in hadith of the Prophet (salallahu alaihi wasallam).

Prophet Muhammad (salallahu alaihi wasallam) said: “Whoever observes the Ramadan fast and follows it with six days in Shawwal, it is as if he has fasted the whole year (the word “dahr” is used, which some say might also mean lifetime instead of just year).” (Bukhari & Muslim as related by Abu Ayyub al-Ansari)

This is an authentic hadith, which indicates that fasting six days of Shawwal is a Prophetic sunnah. Imam Ash-Shafi`i, Ahmad, and a number of leading scholars and jurists followed this.

Make intention now in Ramadan to take reap more rewards. There are several ways that this fast may be done, as long as the first day of the month is not included. Some people may choose to fast all six days in a row immediately after the first day. This is actually helpful in that the body is already used to fasting. However, there is no harm in performing the fast later in the month, whether it is one day after the other or random days during the month.

Also sister, who have missed a few days may choose to make up their missed days first (as these days are “Fard” or obligatory). After completing those they may then begin the sunnah of fasting the six days of Shawwal. As with anything else, when one is in a habit of doing something, it is easier to do it – but when the habit is broken, it becomes more difficult to get back into it. So its better to start right away while we are still in the fasting mode.

ABUSED??

I had never thought that this will prevail and become so common that every house hold should be cautious. The danger could be lurking close by. We can never know if an elder sibling or daily milk man servant newspaper vendor or neighbor is the culprit of abusing your sweet innocent child.

Sara six years old sweet child was playing in the verandah when her 13 year old neighbor came and kissed her on the lips. She was amused by his behavior and told her mother. She was shocked!! She became cautious of sending her child outside the house alone and even had to take precautions for travelling in the lift and leaving the child alone in the house. She feared reporting to her parents because she didn’t have any witness.

We can never guess who can abuse the child, and whose child will be next. Not only girls boys too are victims of abuse. Sometimes teenager’s curiosity leads them to do the forbidden act with innocent children. This also is caused due to communication gap between parents and growing children. Often they resort to the net and end up with porn. Curiosity to do practically what they have seen increases and the end up being criminals.

Always make children as small as two or two n half years old aware of the forbidden touch like
1) No one whom you do not know should carry you or kiss you or shake hands
2) Never accept any chocolate or gifts from strangers
3) Never allow anyone to touch or see your private parts or chest.
4) Always scream and kick the person and go to someone whom you can trust
5) Repeat this every 2-3 months because smaller children may forget

Let them know the trusted people like grand dad or a trusted uncle or their father himself and of course mother. If at all your child is abused ever he/she will relate to you their ordeal. Also be cautious if you see strange marks on your child’s cheeks or any other part. We need to be active and alert to prevent such things happening around.

LETS PREPARE FOR RAMADAN

LETS PREPARE FOR RAMADAN

School’s out and summer’s here, FINALLY! Also, Ramadan will be in the summer, inshAllah. Now that’s exciting, because that means that we have the opportunity to make our Ramadan the best Ramadan.

One of many great ideas for my summer is getting closer to Allah and that is what inspired this post. I have compiled about some of the great ways we can get closer to Allah
So let’s get on to it and inshAllah we can benefit from ATLEAST one step.

1. Read the Quran and Contemplate.

This goes along with building a strong connection with the Quran. Read it in the form it is revealed (Arabic) for the pleasure of Allah so we can get rewards for it. And then read the translation or tafseer of it in a language that you understand. Next step: follow what Allah is saying in the Quran. In other words, fulfill all obligations and abstain from all prohibitions.

2. Follow Up Obligatory Deeds with Voluntary Ones.

We should try to follow the Prophet (peace be upon him) in all ways and a great way to do it is after you have done a fardh deed. We should also keep in mind that disobeying the Prophet (pbuh) is disobeying Allah, and obeying the Prophet (pbuh) is obeying Allah.Qul:Atiullah wa atiurrasool. Obey Allah and His Prophet comes 17 times in the Quran

3. Be Alone with Allah in the Last Third of the Night.

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (RA), the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: “Our Lord (glorified and exalted be He) descends each night to the earth’s sky when there remains the final third of the night, and He says: Who is saying a prayer to Me that I may answer it? Who is asking something of Me that I may give it him? Who is asking forgiveness of Me that I may forgive him?” (al-Bukhari, Muslim, Malik, at-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud). In a version by Muslim the Hadeeth ends with the words: “And thus He continues till [the light of] dawn shines.”

We could wake up about 1 to 2 hours before fajr adhan and ask for anything from Allah, making us closer to Him.

4. Constantly be in Remembrance of Allah (Dhikr).

Dhikr can be done anywhere and at any time. The best to say:

Subhan’Allah- ‘How Perfect Allah is’
Al-Hamdullilah- ‘All Praise be to Allah’
Allahu Akbar – ‘Allah is the Greatest.’
La ila ha illallah- ‘There is no Worthy of Worship Except Allah’
Subhanallahi Wabihamdihi – ‘How Perfect Allah is and I Praise Him’

5. Makes LOTS of Dua.

Never think that you are making too much dua or you are asking too much from Allah. We should NEVER think that Allah will not be able to provide anything for us or He will not be able to hear our duas. When we raise our hands in Dua, Allah does not leave us empty handed. He will grant our wishes in this world or in the next, inshAllah. In our duas we could also include thanks and praises.

Surah 40. Ghafir, Verse 60:
And your Lord said: “Invoke Me, [i.e. believe in My Oneness (Islamic Monotheism)] (and ask Me for anything) I will respond to your (invocation). Verily! Those who scorn My worship [i.e. do not invoke Me, and do not believe in My Oneness, (Islamic Monotheism)] they will surely enter Hell in humiliation!”

6. Be with the People that Love Allah and the Prophet (pbuh).

This means keeping good company, which is very important because the type of people we are with are the type people we will be. Keep away from people, who backbite, slander, miss Salah frequently, and commit haram if we do not want to be like them.
Instead, we should find pious companions who fear Allah and who have the qualities of humility, charity, compassion, modesty and knowledge, and inshAllah we can benefit from them all the time.

7. Put Your Complete Trust in Allah.

This does not mean that we do not take any steps to do anything and have something magically appear. we need to takes steps towards something and leave the rest to Allah. Putting your trust in Allah also means that we should prefer what Allah wants for us as opposed to what we want for ourselves because Allah knows what is best, and obviously we don’t.

8. Voluntary Fasting.

Fasting Mondays and Thursdays is a great sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh). Fasting is one of those things that definitely brings you closer to Allah because it is something that is between you and Him because no one else can see that you are fasting except for Him. I don’t know if I am making sense but I hope you get what I mean

There are other days in the year that are highly rewardable for observing the fast. Some of them are: any six days in shawwal, tenth of Muharram (Ashura), ninth of Dhul-Hijjah (Arafah)

9. Learn about Allah.

Learn about all (99) of His names and attributes and ponder upon them.

10. Think about Allah’s Mercy and Generosity.

Think about all of the things that He has given you and say Alhamdulillah and pray for more blessings, mercy and generosity from Allah.

So that’s it. Thers are some steps to getting closer to Allah, something that all Muslims should strive for.

What's the Sunnah way during an earthquake?

What's the Sunnah way during an earthquake?

Earthquakes are one of the great signs of Allaah in this universe, with which He tests His slaves as a reminder or to instil fear of Him or as a punishment.

43. When Our Torment reached them, why then did they not humble themselves (believe with humility)? But their hearts became hardened, and Shaytaan (Satan) made fair‑seeming to them that which they used to do.

44. So, when they forgot (the warning) with which they had been reminded, We opened for them the gates of every (pleasant) thing, until in the midst of their enjoyment in that which they were given, all of a sudden, We took them (in punishment), and lo! They were plunged into destruction with deep regrets and sorrows”[al-An’aam 6:42-44]

DUA
So t is mustahabb for everyone to beseech Allaah in supplication and so on when earthquakes and similar events, such as thunderbolts and strong winds, happen, and to offer prayers on his own in his house lest he be negligent, because the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) said, when the wind blew strongly: “O Allaah, I ask You for its good and the good of what is in it and the good of what it is sent with, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of what is in it and the evil of what it is sent with.” Narrated by Muslim.

Also recite the KAlima and AStagfirullah alternately because the one who dies with KAlima on lips will go to paradise and the one who repents Allah loves them
HAdith :Whosever last word is lailahaillaAllah will enter jannah
Sahih hadith. Ahmad; Abu Dawud; Hakim; Tabarani and Bayhaqi.
“…And beg Allah to forgive you all, O believers, that you may be successful. “

Quran (Surah An-Noor, Verse 31)

MUSTAHABB
But there is no evidence in the Sunnah -- as far as we know -- to suggest that there is a particular dhikr or du’aa’ that it is mustahabb to recite when an earthquake occurs. Rather one should offer du’aa’ as inspired by Allaah to ask for mercy and help from Allaah, may He be exalted and glorified, so that He might divert this calamity from the people.

FROM THE HADITH
What must be done at the time of an earthquake or other calamity, or an eclipse, strong wind or flood is to repent to Allaah, may He be glorified, and to beseech Him and ask Him for well-being, and to remember Him a great deal and ask Him for forgiveness, as the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) said at the time of an eclipse: “When you see that, then turn to remembrance of Allaah and call upon Him and ask for His forgiveness.” Agreed upon.

A WAKE UP CALL
“And if the people of the towns had believed and had the Taqwaa (piety), certainly, We should have opened for them blessings from the heaven and the earth, but they belied (the Messengers). So We took them (with punishment) for what they used to earn (polytheism and crimes).” [al-A’raaf 7:96]

CHARITY
It is also mustahabb (recommended, encouraged) to show compassion to the poor and needy, and to give charity to them, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“Show mercy, you will be shown mercy.” (Narrated by Imaam Ahmad, 2/165)

FEAR ALLAH
“And whosoever fears Allaah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine. And whosoever puts his trust in Allaah, then He will suffice him.” [al-Talaaq 65:2-3]

HELPING ONE ANOTHER

The Prophet ( peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever meets the need of his brother, Allaah will meet his needs.” (Agreed upon; al-Bukhaari, 3/98; Muslim, 4/1996).

And he ( peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever relieves a believer of some of the distress of this world, Allaah will relieve him of some of the distress of the Day of Resurrection. Whoever makes things easier for one who is suffering hardship, Allaah will make things easier for him in this world and in the Hereafter. Whoever conceals a Muslim’s faults, Allaah will conceal his faults in this world and in the Hereafter. Allaah will help a person so long as he helps his brother.” (Narrated by Muslim, 4/2074).
