Laylatul qadr night of power

Ahmed was worried the season of good sales was over there was a lot of new production in the factory. So he stuck stickers around his garment shop 'sale' , 'sale' 50%off on fresh products. He was sure he wasn't lying because the stock was fresh but he decided to sell at a decreased amount to give place to the new stock of garments.

Sure enough there were good sales and within 15- 20 days more than half the stock was over. But now the left garments had become a bit crumpled due to the customers opening them again and again. Either it would need a washing and re ironing and re packing to sell them or just slash prices furthur. So he stuck on the board 'prices furthur reduced', 'throw away prices' and soon sales again increased and the stock was finally over to give place to the new garments.

Subhanallah! Exactly what Allah subhanahu wa Taa'la has done for us in Ramadan. We were told Ramadan is coming and in a part of a long Hadith it has been said Whoever draws nearer (to Allah) by performing any of the (optional) good deeds in (this month) shall receive the same reward as performing an obligatory deed at any other time, and whoever discharges an obligatory deed in (this month) shall receive the reward of performing seventy obligations at any other time.

So the sale got on as the new moon was sighted. We could never stand in salah for an hour without Ramadan but the power and blessing that Allah subhanahu wa Taa'la has placed in this month made us stand for more than hour just one and half hour after the new moon was sighted. And now when it seems Ramadan is drawing to a close prices are furthur reduced free yourself from hell and an attraction of laylatul qadr. We need to make the most of these last ten days. We need to gather ourselves and stand in prayer so that we acquire the blessings of these ten nights. Inspite of all the mercy and forgiveness we keep sinning in Ramadan and forget the showers of sale from Allah subhanahu wa Taa'la .

The power of laylatul qadr is stronger and lasting, Almighty Allah tells us in the Qur'an: “Laylatul Qadr is better than a thousand months.” [Quran 97:3] there is Forgiveness of all sins on this special night: Prophet (Sallallahu `Alayhi wa sallam) said: “Whosoever worshipped on Laylatul-Qadr, with faith and with a sincere intention, all of his previous sins are forgiven.” [al-Bukhârî and Muslim]. When we are being bestowed chance to gain taqwa, chance to gain proximity to Allah, chance for acceptance of duas. We need to seclude these ten nights atleast for Pleasure of Allah subhanahu wa Taa'la .Simply because they include a night which is better than a thousand months : it is “Laylatul Qadr”1000 months = 83 years and 4 months!
So the Muslim who spend the whole night of Qadr (or a part of it) in worshipping Allah (praying, reading Qur’an, remembering Allah, asking istighfar…), will deserve blessings and reward for the period as if he or she had been worshipping Allah for eighty three years and four months consecutively. Subhanallah!!

It means that if you spend that whole night (or part of it) in reading Qur’an (for example) it will be just like you were reading Qur’an since your birth until you became a 84 years old Muslim! Isn’t that one of the greatest reward? So for repentant sinners and those who didnt seek forgiveness in first ten days and then in next ten days too kept sinning this is a booster. Unlike Ahmed whose clothes were crumpled, Allah swts mercy envelopes us and Allah subhanahu wa Taa'la doesn't only want to forgive us but wants to free us from the prison of hell fire.

So we should try our best and do some deeds to maximise these last ten days
1) try to sit in itekaf for the last ten days or encourage our family members or help those who sit in itekaf
2) do not commit any sin
3) avoid gossip and meeting family, friends, neighbours
4) help anyone in need the reward is more than itekaf
5) give charity, besides zakat and sadqatul fitr
6) read quran , ponder over quran, feel the quran
7) do zikr, recite lots of durud, and plenty of astagfar
8) don't tire yourself in one day so much that you fall sick
9) no over eating or over sleeping
10) dont forget to make dua for yourself, your family, the deceased, your neighbours and also the entire ummah of Nabi Salallahu alaihi wa sallam
11) encourage all your family members to do all the good deeds.

Note of the day

Alhamdulillah finally there were rains and releif from the intense heat!
But i noticed that some people were well prepared and equipped for the rain, most were unprepared and were waiting for it to stop to get the preparations done and yet some will prepare only after heavy rains.

It gives us a lesson that some prepare for aakhira and are prepared for death.. Some prepare themselves when in trials , while some are swept by the storm or repent in clutches of death. So let's drench ourselves in tears of remorse and repentance and prepare ourselves and be equipped before death.

Mothers are a Blessing

Wounds that wont heal!

They miss them in every meal
And they miss them when wounds don't heal
They miss not only their smile
But also their nagging once a while
They remember every scolding and each word
Within which love bloomed and bred
They miss them when they toss in bed
And think of the broken thread

When the world seems to sleep
Who would see the moist eye which weeps
Their reminders to read duas
Their worries and concern ever
They remember them on every happy occasion
They long for them in hidden sobs in gloom and tension

To those who have a #mother
Think of those who yearn for theirs
Sit beside their feet and not higher than them
Speak soft and sweet and don't shout at them
Help them with a smile and be blessed (take their duas)
So that your place in jannah is sealed

A true muslimah

A daughter once asked her mother, “Mom, I have heard about diamonds and rubies and also gold and silver. Which is the most precious jewel?”
Her mother replied, “Jewels of gold, silver, diamonds and rubies are all only stones, and do not shine, unless they are burnt and polished. For me, you are my precious jewel. In fact, every daughter is a gem, irreplaceable! I would like to decorate you with such jewels and gems, which will bring you honour and respect, and add a glow to your dignity and character.
• Clothe yourself with Taqwa, and adorn yourself with the most precious jewel of piety.
• Take care of your head! It is the closest to Allah (swt) in Sujud, so make your prostrations lengthy.
• Keep your head cool and low (out of humility) when amongst people. Let Allah (swt) raise it high.
• Keep your hands immersed in work and tongue moist in Dhikr. That’s the essence of the women of Jannah.
• Raise your hands, shed tears, and share your thoughts and feelings only in front of Allah (swt).
• Lower your gaze and adorn it with the emeralds of contentment.
If you have gold, it’s not that you will not turn old.
But if you have character, it will build your Akhirah.
If you have lots of brocade and silk in your closet,
But elegance will be disclosed by your deeds’ facet.
If you are not endowed with diamonds or pearls,
Remember, through your speech and smile you glitter.
And scatter the beauty of Islam.
Through reverence in covering your Awrah.
And reveal what is permissible, and be it little, be happy with Halal and pure.
That’s the true essence of a Muslimah.
Her daughter replied: “True! I am blessed to have a mother, who knows my true value and wants the best for me in this life as well as hereafter.”
May Allah (swt) guide my daughter and all the daughters of the Ummah, too. Ameen
